THE CHANDON HOMESTEAD REOPENS
We are proud to share the reopening of our historic Homestead in the heart of our Yarra Valley estate. This meticulously reimagined space, set within the vineyard's expansive grounds, beautifully blends tradition with contemporary elegance, creating an exclusive setting for refined food and wine experiences.
The Homestead, originally a farmhouse dating back over a century, has undergone a transformative redesign that honours its rich history while embracing modern Australian art and design. Melbourne-based interior designer Melanie Beynon orchestrated the interiors, delivering a harmonious colour palette of soft pinks and earthy tones that echo the hues of CHANDON’s sparkling wines. Organic textures and materials celebrate the natural beauty of the Yarra Valley, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
A highlight of the renovation is the collaboration with over twenty local Australian artists, designers, and makers. The Homestead is a dynamic, inspired space where every element tells its own story. Striking statement pieces command attention, from the custom hero dining table and leather-upholstered dining chairs by Barbera to the delicately toned bottle wall sculpture by Kristin Burgham. The space pulses with artistic energy, featuring a dramatic lighting sconce and custom console bar by Jordan Fleming, alongside bespoke ceramic tableware by R L Foote Design Studio. Further enriching the narrative, Jacquie Lazzarotto and Emma Shepherd have created stunning statement wall hangings that capture the essence of the Yarra Valley and CHANDON’s winemaking heritage. Every design choice has been meticulously curated to celebrate the beauty of the natural landscape and connect to CHANDON’s rich history.
The Homestead features a spacious lobby, the Greenpoint Lounge for bespoke dining, the Vintage Room fully equipped for corporate meetings and intimate tastings, and a wrap-around verandah with breathtaking vineyard views, perfect for vibrant garden parties. This elegant yet boldly expressive space is available for booking functions and events, offering an elevated and intimate setting for up to 50 guests.
