This year, Chandon was proud to sponsor the Eat Drink Design Awards, an annual awards program that supports innovation and excellence in the design of hospitality premises of all scales and styles, retail environments for the sale of food and beverages and visual identities for both.
Chandon partnered with the Eat Drink Design Awards for the 2019 program which was this year hosted by esteemed Australian chef and restaurateur Matt Moran. The ceremony was attended by more than 300 architects, designers and their clients who gathered to celebrate this year’s cohort.
In 2018, the renovation of Chandon’s cellar door by Foolscap Studio won in the Eat Drink Design Awards category for Best Retail Design Winner. The jury remarked, “The Chandon tasting room and boutique is a successful showcase of the brand, elevating it to international standards with impressive design. The airy space has generous and comfortable dimensions, with excellent flow from zone to zone, while a connection to landscape allows a sense of rawness to hover at the perimeter.”
The program recognizes and celebrates Australia and New Zealand’s best projects, rewarding design achievement in seven categories. From high-end restaurants and bars to offbeat hole-in-the-wall cafes and pop-ups, the awards are a unique forum for architects, designers and their clients to present their best new projects.
