On a beautiful wintery day in late June, key trade, media, consumers and influential friends of Chandon joined us for a Pique-Nique like no other. An immersive, multi-sensory wining and dining experience combining the effervescent blend of French heritage and Australian Craft was brought to a unique Darlinghurst location.
Guests were greeted by the incredibly chic stylist and host, Sibella Court, who welcomed guests into the heritage building which had been transformed into an oasis of native bushland inspired by Chandon’s estate home in the Yarra Valley.
Two long tables were set low to the ground and were adorned with plush cushions and tonal rugs. This cosy inner-city picnic encouraged a vibrant environment full of warm conversation.
After mains were cleared, Chandon winemaking director Dan Buckle addressed guests and introduced the newest addition to the Chandon family, Chandon S – a refreshing cocktail alternative served over ice and garnished with orange peel.
The day wrapped up with a delicious dessert offering of sparkling wine marshmallows, vegan chocolates and Yarra Valley poached quince tart, paired with Chandon Vintage Brut 2015. Overall, it was a delightful afternoon with impeccable food and wine pairings in the ultimate urban picnic location!
