Vineyard Event Vintage

During vintage the winery is open 24 hours a day, as the grapes arrive for pressing and the aromas of fermentation fill the air.

Vintage commences when the grapes (otherwise called 'berries') are fully coloured and soft. The sugar content has increased to allow for adequate base wine alcohol (10.5-11.0%) and the balance between acid and flavour in the grapes is at its optimum.
