Chandon recently partnered with renowned restaurant group, the Vue Group, who hosted an immersive truffle experience for some special members of the Chandon Étoile Wine Club.
The Vue Group's Burnham Beeches Estate is home to a 200-tree trufferie which has been nurturing a beautiful crop of the aromatic winter delicacy. Members were treated to a treasure hunt (of sorts), as they went in search for the enticing black winter truffle, alongside seasoned truffle hunter Sue and her loveable Australian Shepard Dora.
With all the hard work done and a glass of Chandon Late Disgorged Rosé in hand, members enjoyed an intimate Q & A in the trufferie with Executive Chef of Vue de monde, Hugh Allen.
Guests were then shown the surrounding grounds including the on-site beehives, an emu enclosure and extensive vegetable gardens.
The day wrapped up with an intimate dinner in the rustic dining space at the Piggery Café. The four-course truffle inspired meal was designed by Executive Chef, Hugh Allen and was beautifully complemented with a curated selection of Chandon sparkling wines.
