Domaine Chandon Australia (DCA) is committed to conducting our organisational activities in a way that prevents harm to our people and community, prevents pollution, and minimizes our impact on the environment.

DCA demonstrates this commitment through its Integrated Management System (IMS), which ensures that health, safety, and environment (HSE) considerations are integrated within activities related to products, services, and people.

DCA acknowledges that the organisation, its employees, labour hire workers and contractors have a duty of care which incorporates the responsibility to work and act safely, to take reasonable care for their own health and safety and that of others affected by their actions, as well as a general environmental duty to take reasonable proactive steps to employ good sustainable work practices.

DCA strives to create a strong HSE culture across all aspects our organization, taking care in every action to minimize harm to people and environment.

DCA is committed to achieving the following:

•    Establishing and ensuring the continuing effective operation and improvement of our IMS, meeting the requirements of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
•    Systematically identifying HSE hazards, impacts and control measures to eliminate hazards and reduce risks.
•    Providing and maintaining a safe working environment.
•    Continually improving our HSE performance and exposure risk.
•    Facilitating consultation and encouraging active participation of people (including workers’ representatives where they exist) on issues that may impact their HSE.
•    Actively working to prevent injury and ill health by responding to and investigating all incidents, injuries and near misses, and supporting injured employees to return to work on suitable duties at the earliest possible opportunity.
•    Identifying and complying with OHS and Environmental legislation, regulations, codes, standards, and other compliance obligations.

To achieve our commitments, our HSE objectives aim to:

•    Build leadership, capability, and awareness through educating our people on their HSE responsibilities and accountabilities and encouraging active participation.
•    Take a proactive approach to HSE through the allocation of adequate resources, setting of objectives, targets, and programs for achievement.
•    Provide adequate systems of work to eliminate or minimize risk of injury, illness, or adverse environmental impacts, and respond appropriately to incidents, injuries, emergencies, issues, and non-conformities.
•    Conduct our operations in an environmentally responsible manner, reflecting a commitment to fostering the sustainable use of the Earth’s resources considering a life cycle perspective.
•    Measure and monitor our HSE risks and impacts to ensure continual improvement of performance.
•    Remain up to date with information and knowledge of research, developments, risks, and legislation to support our goals and enable best practice.
•    Engage and collaborate actively with our communities.

Employees have a responsibility to contribute to the effective application of this policy through their commitment to the values and expectations of our policy and by the leadership they demonstrate in everything they do.

DCA senior management have a responsibility to implement and maintain the IMS and periodically review the HSE objectives and Policy in consultation with key stakeholders. This will ensure integrity is maintained and continuous improvement is effectively facilitated across all DCA sites.
