Chandon Strathbogie Cuvée 2016
The Great Diving Range, 150km north east of Melbourne and home to our Strathbogie vineyard, is layered with granitic soil 375 million years in the making. The rocky landscape has weathered over time, resulting in earth that makes vines dig deep to survive. It is in this state of strain that vines produce wines of purity and precision while coaxing a uniquely steely apple character. Chardonnay thrives in this environment, thus makes the backbone of this Cuvée. Expect a wine that although fresh and fruit-driven, digs deeper with layers of complexity.
